Any pointers what to bid for an unrestored Dulcitone at auction?
There is one coming up tomorrow here in UK and I'd like to have
a bid but have no idea what to offer.

I thunk it's a Machell. It has the pedal on the left and folding
legs. It has "Dulcitone" in fretwork across the back of it.

No missing or damaged woodwork and keys all basically
work but it needs complete restoration.

I had a quick play on it and fell in love. It's a beautiful sound.

Thanks for any advice.

Damn,

Wish I'd spotted this earlier. I picked mine up for about £65 at an
auction, but I believe that they can go anywhere up to about £200. Mine
also needs a fair bit of work done on it, and has some strange rattles
and clicks all over the place, but I agree - I fell in love with it
immediately...
