Hello All,
I am self learning with Alfred's Adult All-in-One Course. So far so
good, but I have a question. There are two tunes, "Merrily We Roll
Along"(sounds like "Mary Had A Little Lamb") and "Largo"(from "The New
World"). Both pieces are timed 4/4 with mezzo-forte for the treble
clef and piano for the f-clef. Merrily calls for the piece to be
played merrily and Largo to be played slowly.
My understanding was that 4/4 was about 120 bpm ~2b/s. How much slower
is "Slow" or for that matter how much faster is "merrily"?
Regards,
Mon
