So far this sonata had been alrite technically for me, until i came to
these 4-5 trills with the thumb and second finger held down. I was
wondering if there is any technique suggested to ease these trills, or
is it just constant drills with the 4th and 5th fingers to get them up
to speed.

Yep, it's a 4-5 trill. Not much to do there except to practice...

Those don't have to be 45 trills, they can be 35 or 34. The "standard"
fingering, I believe, is 453535......

the trick is to start the 45 very quickly -- see section on trills in link
below.

35 Won't work, as you have to play the C with 3.

Either Henle and the Schnabel Edition write 45 fingerings. I don't
think any other is practical here.

why not the 2?

12 is already in use for the f-b chord.

Right; but in my score, there is no dot on the b, only on the f.

Both, in Henle Urtext and Schnabel Edition, there is the dot on both
the f and b. Which is also logical from the context.

I strongly recommend for interpretation and fingerings of the
Beethoven sonatas Artur Schnabel's edition. (and his recordings too)

IMHO nothing better to learn the subtleties of these sonatas.
