Greetings,

My Roland HP-330 Digital Piano (built in 1995) needs a new keyboard
assembly. One of the hammers broke, and upon disassembly and
inspection, I noticed that all of the hammers are starting to crack in
the area where the plastic hammer meets the metal weight. Therefore,
even if it were possible to replace an individual key, it would be
only a temporary fix.

I will call Roland service on Monday, but was wondering if anybody
knows of any other sources for the replacement keyboard assembly? Do
these Roland Digital pianos us Fatar keyboard asseblies?

Thanks for your help.

The assembly that I need is actually referred to as a keybed, not a
keyboard (just the 88-key mechanism without any electronics). The
keybed in my Roland looks similar to the picture of the Fatar TP/40 on
the Fatar website. Does anybody know if Roland uses/used Fatar
keybeds in it's digital pianos?

Roland service will know. If prepared to be helpful, they're by far
your best source of information. Why not give them a chance before
exploring other possibilities?

If your keyboard includes lead weights, good luck in sourcing a
replacement :-(

My jv80 has stuck keys too. I called roland and they said they could send me a replacement key bed for $360. A little pricey considering I can buy a working xp50 on eBay for $400 without the glue problem.

Hi Alan,

I have a Roland HP 330e with a broken hammer and I want to replace it by myself. Can you give me some information about how to open the digital piano?

Thanks for your help!
Tina
