I have just dropped into this newsgroup to ask if there are any British
people out there who can advise me where to go to have my pianola repaired?
I have tried the Brighton Pianola Company twice now, but they don't seem to
be interested. Can anyone recommend any other company, preferably in the
south of England?
Many thanks
Sara
Dear All,

Reading this I just thought I ought to add that David Dibley 01273 608 999 or 07860 850 733 (Has a workshop at: unit B5, Gaywood Farm, Hole Lane, Edenbridge) has mislead & taken over £1000.00 in cash from my mother who is very honest & trustworthy & an OAP, he took it from her as a deposit for repairing her Pianola, He told her repairs would total more than £6500.00 & she believed him & gave him £1000.00 cash there & then, he took the Pianola & left, he did sign for the cash though, he also told her the repairs would take over a year & a half & that was why it was so expensive. When our family found out, we phoned professional company's for advice/comparison quotes & they had all heard of him & recommended that his work was very poor & that he made a habit of ripping people off/over charging. My mother rang him the very next morning after he had visited to cancel her order & to arrange to pick up her Pianola, David Dibley advised my mum that he had already stripped it down & ordered parts from Australia, this was less than 24 hours later. He is Lying. My mother had arranged to pick up her Pianola this am & some money that he was prepared to give her back, but instead he sent her a letter saying he was unavailable today due to a hospital appointment at the exact same time they had arranged to meet up, (Very unlikely) & that he would leave her Pianola with the neighbour in the next door unit, no mention of her refund just that he would send the parts on to her. We of course are disgusted & outraged. He also said he had tried to call but mum is in all day & the phone has a call itemiser on it & an answer phone, no calls have been received. He is a liar. We are going to issue a ccj on his addresses & take him to court as well as report him to inland revenue for tax & vat evasion on taking cash (As we have his signature) a very good friend is a detective inspector & we have taken her advice & referred this matter to the police too under her direction. Please be aware this man is acting fraudulently, promising things & not delivering & taking extortionate amounts of money from OAP's. I hope you have all had better luck with repairing your precious Pianolas?

Kind regards
